意大利联赛冠军争夺战打响
Having already secured a fourth consecutive Italian league title and booked their place in the Champions League final, Juventus turn their attention to the domestic cup competition.
The Italian champs will take on Lazio in the 67th Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday.
Massimiliano Allegri's Juve will start as favourites. They have beaten the 'Biancocelesti' twice in the league this season and overall they have lost just once against Lazio in 16 games.
But, despite having won the Italian Cup a joint-record nine times in their history, Juve have not tasted success in this competition in 20 years, finishing runners-up three times over that period.
"The Italian Cup is important because it is our second goal of the season, the first was winning the league and then the cup. Then we also have a Champions League final to play. We'll have to do our best to win, even though it will be a tough game," said Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus Coach.
Lazio enter a crucial week in their season, as they prepare to meet Juventus in the Italian Cup final on Wednesday. And they will also face Roma in a direct fight for second place in Serie A five days later.
Lazio have won the Italian Cup six times, including a victory over Juventus in 2004. Indeed, the Biancazzurri have proved almost unbeatable in this showpiece event, winning on all but one occasion they have reached the final.
This could be the week that leaves Lazio fans celebrating all summer - or it could leave supporters dreaming of what might have been.
