中美商业大佬对话西雅图圆桌会议
Fifteen CEOs from both China and the US will participate in a Business Roundtable in Seattle during President Xi Jinping's state visit to the US. They will debate some topical issues and explore ways to strengthen their economic relationships.
The event is being organized by The Paulson Institute, and hosted by former U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson.
Both countries have chosen market leaders from sectors such as the Internet, finance, auto, food and manufacturing.
China's approach has drawn much attention, however: in the past, it would have been state-owned enterprises making up the majority of its delegation but, this time, two-thirds of them are private.
Another eye-catching point is the uNPRecedented proportion of Internet companies. For example, it's the first time the three globally-influential Chinese Internet companies -- Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent -- are all participating in a leader's visit.
The US enterprises are mostly well-known, with some of them heavily involved in China, such as Microsoft, General Motors and Boeing.
