The Double Eleven shopping rush is becoming global, with both sellers and buyers around the world joining in the shopping frenzy. In South Korea's, retailers are looking for more deals from Chinese consumers.
"90 percent of South Korea's oversea online orders come from Chinese customers. To attract more, we are launching promotion campaign on our cosmetics, grocery and infants products," said Hong Jin-Hee, S. Korean department store manager.
E-Commerce retailers in South Korea, including Lotte, are also joining in today's Double Eleven event, with discounts up to 80 percent off.
In Russia, young people are getting used to buying what they need from online Chinese retailers. To facilitate the delivery process, China's Aliexpress, a major online global sales platform affiliated to Alibaba, has signed an agreement with Russian Post's logistic service, cutting the delivery time from 7 weeks to 7 days.
