2018年世界杯预选赛：中国争取在主场击败伊朗

China will take on Iran in their second match in the AFC Third Stage of 2018 World Cup qualifying in Shenyang in Northeast China later tonight. The PRC fell in their opener against South Korea, but a two goal comeback boosted the team's confidence. And that fight back, has helped boost morale of the squad, as coach Gao Hongbo expressed his determination to beat Iran.

Team Dragon held their last training session before the match Monday afternoon. And the technical part of the training was closed to media.

Surrendering three goals in their opening contest, has triggered focus to play better defensively.

In the pre-match press conference, Gao stressed that "To win the game is the only target to every coach, and that is the core value of my work."

Answering a question about Wu Lei, the forward misfired on some chances in the first game, Gao expressed his support of the 26-year-old striker.
