中国公司在孟加拉国为当地人提供机会
Bangladesh is the world's second largest clothing exporting country. The industry accounts for about 80% of its annual total exports. The country has about 2,000 textile mills, 6,000 garment factories, and up to five million workers. Chinese companies have contributed a large part to the industry. LIZFASHION is one of them.
LIZFASHION's factory is in a suburb of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
It was founded in 1997, and has taken a leading role in the country's clothing production with automated equipment.
The factory now employs over 13,000 locals. Owner Zhuang Lifeng says the goal is not only making profits, but also creating modern professionals.
"Our company wants to be a platform for employees to develop their skills, either as skilled workers, or new graduates," Zhuang said.
Zhuang says "Chinese responsibility" is important. And that extends to minimizing pollution.
"Our company always values environmental protection. All industrial waste-water has to be filtered, and then drained out so fish can live in it," Zhuang said.
Panna Rahman has been working in the factory for four years. He said the Chinese company not only gives them jobs, but other opportunities.
"The company gives us the most suitable training plans in every task, in every post. We start from the very basics, and try our best for future, not only for this company, but for our own country," Rahman said.
Zhuang Lifeng said the sound running of the company is closely linked to the long friendship between China and Bangladesh.
"With this, our company has a good living space and better prospects. As a Chinese company, we want to tell the world that Chinese can make the best enterprises, management and products," Zhuang said.
Zhuang's dream is to make LIZFASHION a first-class enterprise.
