外国小伙子南京话版《等公交车》

Chinese has Mandarin or 普通话, but it also has dialects or 方言.For example, in Nanjing the dialect spoken is called 南京话.
中国有普通话，也有方言。举个例子，南京的方言就叫南京话。

Similarly, in the United States, we have different types of English.
同样地，在美国，也有很多种英语。

In this video, I will read four versions of a single dialogue.
在下面这段录像里，我将用四个版本来读相同的一个小对话。

The English title is "Waiting for the Bus." In Chinese, 等公交车.
题目的英文是Waiting for the Bus，相对应的中文是等公交车 。

The order will be: 1, Relatively Formal English, 2, 普通话, 3, Relatively Colloquial English, and 4, 南京话.
顺序是这样的，第一是比较正式的英语，第二是普通话，第三是比较口语化的英语，然后第四是南京话。

1.This weather is too hot. And why hasn't the bus arrived yet?
Yeah, I'm sweating all over -- it's gross. Maybe we should just walk there. We could go to Skyways first and get some ice cream. What do you think?
No way. You eat ice cream every day. Don't you get tired of it? And now you want to walk there? That's just crazy.
Geez, you can't even walk a short distance. You're so lazy.
So? Come on, the bus is here. Uh oh, I forgot to bring my bus card.
I'll swipe mine for you. You get on first.

 —这个鬼天气太热了，怎么11路还不来？
 —是呀，黏黏的，好恶心。要不走过去吧。正好等一会儿先去云中吃个冰淇凌好吗？
 —不好，天天吃，你还没有吃腻吗？还要走过去，真是疯了！
 —天啊，你现在是不是一步路都不想走？太懒了！
 —不可以吗？走吧，车来了。完了，我没有带公交卡。
 —我帮你刷卡，先上车吧。
 
3. Damn, this weather is scorching hot. And where the hell is that bus?
Yeah, seriously. I'm totally soaked, ugh! Let's just walk there. Plus we can stop by Skyways and grab some ice cream. How does that sound?
What?! How do you not get tired of eating that stuff every day? And now you want to walk? You're nuts.
Wow, you can't even walk a couple blocks? So lazy...
Pff. C'mon, the bus is here. Crap, I don't have my pass.
I got you. You get on first.
