1.倍数词表示倍数关系。

double(两倍), half(一半), three times(三倍)等。

It is double the size of my room.

有我房间的两倍大。

Your desk is treble(triple) as big as mine.

你的书桌至少是我的三倍大。

Your watermelon is three times bigger than mine.

你的西瓜比我的大三倍。

And I bought this melon at half the price.

而且我是用半价买了这个西瓜。

More than half (of) the watermelon is not ripe.

大半个西瓜没有熟。

2.倍数词作名词用时可在句中作主语、宾语。

Two halves make a whole.

两个一半成为一个整体。

two halves作主语。

Cut the apple in half.

把苹果对半切开。

half作介系词in的宾语。

3.倍数词作形容词时可在句中作修饰语、补语。

He got double pay at the end of the year.

他在年底获得了双薪。

double修饰pay。

Your room is double the size of my room.

你的房间有我的两倍大。

double作主语补语。

4.倍数词作动词时可在句中作述语动词。

The output of rice has more than doubled.

稻米的产量增加了一倍多。

double作动词用。
