2012年3月31日GRE考试回忆（网友分享版）

　　2012年3月31日中国大陆地区进行了GRE考试，新东方网根据网友对本次考试的回忆整理出3月31日的GRE考试回忆。

　　作文：

　　The following is part of a memorandum from the president of Humana University.

　　"Last year the number of students who enrolled in online degree programs offered by nearby Omni University increased by 50 percent. During the same year, Omni showed a significant decrease from prior years in expenditures for dormitory and classroom space, most likely because online instruction takes place via the Internet. In contrast, over the past three years, enrollment at Humana University has failed to grow and the cost of maintaining buildings has increased. Thus, to increase enrollment and solve the problem of budget deficits at Humana University, we should initiate and actively promote online degree programs like those at Omni."

　　Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

　　（机经原文）美国文学的短文，讲的是据记录Journal of Freedom和The Rights of People（名称可能不精确）两本出版物在发行量上都在800份，但某人M认为JOF应该在开始有更多人订阅，因为读者发现JOF的缺点，而ROP的编者是同一批人。

　　一个关于ptomaelogy（类似的）长阅读，读的很晕，昨天晚上做长阅读很顺手，到了考场句子都不认识了。

　　数学：

　　三个Q（包括加试）都很简单，一道正态分布的题都没考…

　　第二个Q里面出现了几个不太常见的单词

　　1. 一个hexagon的perimeter是12.5；一个heptagon的perimeter是15，比较边长，幸好me认识这两个词…

　　2. 两个isosceles triangle，好像一个其中两边长8，另一个6，比较面积，我选的不确定

　　3. 图表题，线型图，6个major什么参数，还有一行是others，画了两年的（1990&1998）有一个题是问其中一个什么东西（就是图中的一行）在1990年在6个major中所占比例，注意是6个major中占得比例，所以要减去others的比例，好像是大约19%÷（1-17%）≈？我选的1/4

　　4. mean 是m, 7 is 2 standard deviation below m, 14 is 3 standard deviation above m, 问m? 9.8

　　5. 3^(-2)和0.1比大小

　　6. one half of 8^150 是多少？2^449

　　7. 有一个图表题大意是A给C、D投票，A中60%的人投给了C，38%投给了D，问A中投给C的人比投给D的人多多少，答案中有22%和58%，不太确定，选了58%

　　8. 65%的人赞成A，48%的人赞成B，22%的人赞成A但不赞成B，问多少人赞成B但是不赞成A

　　9. 考了以前机经里有的5个点，3个在正半轴，2个在负半轴，任选3个，都在正半轴的概率

　　我第三个Q应该跟前面一个帖子里北美3月30机经里是一样的，但是感觉这个section是加试，题目明显比第二个Q还简单，而且题型什么的有点和正常的不太一样…

　　填空：

　　填空考到了这道，说某个人很喜欢_____，然后列举了两个什么and什么，什么and什么的例子，（两组词都是相反的）还有就是bland and______. 第一个空格选极端，忘记正确选项了= =第二空选bland的反义词呗，选项中有vacuous, lurid, uninspiring三个，我觉得这题还蛮难的，bland好久没有出现过，意思都不记得了，后来想起来好像是温和的意思，所以选lurid。
