雅思写作应该如何避免虎头蛇尾

　　结尾段三大功能

　　1、所有一些表示结论的连接词来表明文章接近尾声。

　　2、给出作者对论题的最终性的思考和评价。

　　3、对文章中提出的论点进行斟酌和权衡，并强调和突出作者的观点。

　　注意：千万不要简单地重复引言段的内容，而是应该融入主体段的种种论点，然后再进行一个综合性的整理，以便形成一个全面的结论。

　　结尾段三种模式

　　1、综合归纳式

　　题目：In some countries the average worker is obliged to retire at the age of50 while in others people can work until they are 65 or 70. Meanwhile, we seesome politicians enjoying power well into their eighties. Clearly, there islittle agreement on an appropriate retirement age. Until what age do you thinkpeople should be encouraged to remain in paid employment? Give reasons for youranswer.

　　在该文的引言段中，作者表明了自己的观点：It is my belief, however, that the longer an ableperson is allowed to work, the better for both the individual worker and theemployer. 因此，主体段谈论的就是年长的员工给企业，本人甚至政府等三方面带来的诸多好处。

　　把上述的种种论点进行一个综合性的归纳，我们可以有如下的结尾段：

　　Thus, workers who can still demonstrate their capacity to carry out theirwork should not be asked to retire simply because they have reached a certainage. Societies that insist on early retirement may do well to look again attheir policies。

　　其中，thus…..是表示结论的连接词。结尾段中提出的结论是：只要员工具有胜任工作的能力，就可以继续保留在其工作岗位上。同时有指出：坚持提前退休的社会制度应当重新考虑其相关政策。这样的结尾就很好地把员工，企业和政府三方面有效地结合了起来。

　　2、比较对照式

　　题目：The idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospectfor many people. But while it may offer some advantages, it is probably betterto stay home because of the difficulties a student inevitably encounters livingand studying in a different culture. To what extent do you agree or disagreewith the statement? Give reasons for your answer.

　　作者在引言段中的观点是：But while overseas study has its drawbacks, the difficultiesare far outweighed by the advantages. Indeed, people who go abroad for studyopen themselves up to experiences that those who stay at home will neverhave.因此，在主体段中，作者就着重阐述海外留学的种种益处。

　　作为总结，结尾段可仿照引言段的写作手法，把海外留学的弊端与益处进行一个鲜明的比较和对照。下面是该文结尾段的一个范例：

　　In conclusion, while any anxiety about going overseas for university studyis certainly understandable, it is important to remember that the benefitsoffered by the experience make it well worthwhile.

　　其中，inconclusion……为暗示结尾的连接词。结尾段中用while进行对比，既指出对于海外留学的担忧是不无道理的，但同时更指出其益处是极有价值的。

　　3、高瞻远瞩式

　　题目：The mass media, including television, radio and newspapers, have greatinfluence in shaping people’s ideas. To what extent do you agree or disagreewith this statement? Give reasons for your answer.

　　在引言段中，作者是这样表达自己对大众传媒的观点的：The mass media have a powerful influence inshaping our lives. We have come to depend on them for information andentertainment, and in doing so, we let them affect important aspects of ourlives.

　　在这种模式中，我们先可以简单地小结一下，然后，用强调的话语把事物的发展趋势推至未来，指出其将来的发展势头。下面是该模式的结尾段范文：

　　In summary, I would agree that the mass media’s influence is certainlygreat. Indeed, with technological advancements such as the Internet bringingeven more forms of electronic media to our homes and workplaces, it is likelythat the media’s influence will grow even stronger.

　　其中，insummary……是表示结尾的连接词。第一句话简单地总结了大众传媒的巨大作用，随后用indeed……进行进一步阐述，指出随着科技的发展，特别是因特网的普及，大众传媒的影响将日益广泛和深入。
