Two Brazilian teams face off to begin World Circuit of beach volleyball

BRASILIA, March 23 (Xinhua) -- To kick off the World Circuit of beach volleyball in Australia, the two Brazilian women's teams -- Leila and Sandra Pires, and Maria Clara and Carolina -- served up some excitement.

Due to the tournament's regulations, each association sends at most four teams to the competition. Since Brazil has five teams registered, the two teams mentioned above are in a dispute to see which team will qualify for the fourth and final spot.

The other three teams that have already secured their spot are: Juliana and Larissa, Renata and Talita, and Ana Paula with Shelda.

The actual tournament gets underway on Monday.
