Cottbus seal key away win in German Bundesliga

BERLIN, April 4 (Xinhua) -- German soccer club Energie Cottbus picked up their first away win in almost a year on Friday when they shut out MSV Duisburg 1-0.

The victory, the second straight win within a week, moves Cottbus closer to retaining their Bundesliga status, while Duisburg still remain in the relegation zone.

The first and last goal of the evening was scored by Ervin Skela just four minutes into the match.

The Albanian player had his third straight goal, after scoring two in the 2-1 win last Sunday against Hertha BSC Berlin. His six goals in total make him the highest scorer on Energie.

Energie's last away win came way back on April 17, 2007 in their 3-1 victory over Frankfurt.

They are the last team to win their first away match in the current season. MSV remain the worst team in the Bundesliga. They haven't won in the MSV-Arena since Dec. 2, 2007.
