Peru to send at least 12 athletes to Beijing Olympic Games

LIMA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- At least 12 athletes will represent Peru in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August, Peruvian Olympic Committee (COP) spokesman stated on Wednesday.

COP vice president Jorge Rivva reported that Peruvian athletes will participate in athletics, badminton, swimming, taekwondo, shooting, wrestling, judo and fencing.

Peru's delegation for the Athens Games 2004 consisted of 12 athletes.
