Bulgaria advances in Davis Cup after beating Turkey

SOFIA, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria managed to qualify for the 2009 Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group II after beating Turkey 3-0 on Friday.

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov beat Ergun Zorlu 6-0, 6-3 before his teammate Todor Enev outplayed Marsel Ilhan 6-2, 6-3.

In the doubles match, Enev paired up with Tihomir Grozdanov to defeat Zorlu and Haluk Akkoyun 6-3 and 7-6 to seal the 3-0 victory.

Bulgaria stood top of the Group II without a loss in four matches, which assured its qualification to next round before the match against Zimbabwe on Saturday.
