12th 10,000M European Cup to be run in Turkey

ANKARA, April 11(Xinhua) -- The 12th "European Cup 10,000m" will be run on April 12 in Turkey's largest city of Istanbul, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Friday.The Enka Stadium in Istanbul is set to host the 12th European Cup 10,000m, with 34 men and 29 women from 21 countries lined up to compete.Some four athletes in women's: Elvan Abeylegesse, Bahar Dogan, Turkan Erismis and Sultan Haydar and six athletes in men's categories: Sabri Kara, Kemal Koyuncu, Selim Bayrak, Fatih Bilgic, Mugdat Ozturk and Ali Topkara will represent Turkey in the event, which will be like a qualifying round for the Beijing Olympics.
