Bayi extends winning streak to three in men's volleyball tournament

(BEIJING, April 18) -- Bayi beat Liaoning three sets to one (25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 25-17) in the men's preliminary round of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Club Volleyball Tournament at Capital Gymnasium on Friday, April 18, in front of 850 spectators.

The win extended Bayi's winning streak to three in the tournament.

Bayi scored points on 55 out of 110 spikes, compared to 42 out of 101 for Liaoning, and scored points on 16 out of 43 blocks compared to 9 out of 41 for Liaoning. Bayi conceded 20 points due to errors; Liaoning conceded 30.

Bayi's top scorer in the match was Liu Tingwei, earning 23 points, while Liu Lantao was the best scorer for Liaoning with 17.
