Guo Yanxiang finished first with a score of 18.24 points in the Men's Shot Put Qual. Round (Group B) at the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Athletics Open at National Stadium on May 22. Wang Like from Heilongjiang finished second with 18.15 points. Zhang Heng from Heilongjiang won the bronze medal with 16.84 points.
