Team USA gets set for Shanghai show

(BEIJING, June 2) -- On June 2 the U.S. Men's Basketball Team announced the schedule for two exhibition games to take place in Shanghai in early August. It will be the first time the team plays in Shanghai, hometown of NBA all-star Yao Ming.

At 3 p.m. on August 3 they will face 2007 European Champion Russia, and two days later they will meet Oceanian Champion Australia at 8 p.m., local time. Head coach Mike Krzyzewski believes the games will be a good test for his team and, more essentially, a necessary procedure for his players to adapt to the playing environment in China.

The games will also be an exciting basketball fiesta for local fans.

Prior to Shanghai, Team USA will have training camp from June 27 to 29, after which they will decide the final team roster for the Beijing Olympics. The team will train again from July 21 to 24, and on July 25 they will have a friendly match against Canada.
