Hiddink voted best ambassador for Dutch exports

BRUSSELS, June 6 (Xinhua) -- The world renowned Dutch football coach Guus Hiddink has been voted the most important ambassador for Dutch exports over the last decade by members of the Dutch exporters' association Fenedex, Dutch media reported Friday.The current trainer of the Russian national team won 25 percent of the votes. Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, a member of the International Olympic Committee, followed with 17 percent of the votes.Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende was in third place with 8 percent of the votes.Hiddink, 61, led the Dutch national team to the fourth place finish in the 1998 World Cup and guided the Koreans to the same spot four years later. He also led Australians to the second round of the 2006 World Cup -- their first appearance in the tournament for 32 years.Fenedex comprises of more than 1,300 members.
