Nadal wins fourth consecutive French Open
Photo Gallery>>(BEIJING, June 8) -- Rafael Nadal joined Bjorn Borg on Sunday as the only two players in history to win four French Opens in a row. And he did it in convincing fashion, crushing World No. 1 Roger Federer 6-1, 6-3, 6-0.

Lacking only the French Open to complete a career Grand Slam, Federer looked shaky from the beginning of the match, rushing shots and making uncharacteristic errors. He ended the match with 35 unforced errors to Nadal's total of seven.

Hoping to disrupt the seemingly unshakeable Spaniard, Federer approached the net 42 times, but he struggled to find the accuracy and soft touch that typically characterize his game and won points on only 18 attempts.

Nadal won as he always does on clay: with patience. Approaching the net only six times (winning points twice), Nadal dominated from the baseline, outrunning and outlasting Federer on long points and hitting 46 winners.

The win pushes Nadal's clay court record against Federer to 9-1 and make this the third consecutive year that Nadal has halted Federer's career Grand Slam hopes in the finals of Roland Garros.
