(BEIJING, June 19) -- Eight-time Olympian Ian Miller and the fourth-ranked jumper in the world, Eric Lamaze, are on the roster of Canada's Olympic team, which was just released by the Canadian Olympic Committee on June 17.

The 61-year-old Millar first competed in the Olympics in 1972. He will be competing in this summer with In Style, a 13-year-old gelding, and Redefin, a promising 10-year-old gray. "It would have been 10 if not for the boycott of Moscow in 1980," said Millar of his Olympic attendance streak. "It's a tremendous honor to represent Canada."

Lamaze will ride Hickstead, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion that some say is the best horse in the world competing in Hong Kong this summer. Hickstead helped Lamaze win a bronze medal at the Pan America Games.

Jill Henselwood the winner of the 2007 Pan America Games and Olympic veteran Mac Cone were also on the list. Henselwood, the only woman on the team, will ride Special Ed, a 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding, while Cone will take Ole to Hong Kong.

In addition to jumping, Canada will participate in the dressage and eventing competitions. Ashley Holzer, Jacqueline Brooks and Leslie Reid will be competing on Canada's dressage team; Kyle Carter, Sandra Donnelly, Selena O'Hanlon, Jessica Phoenix and Michael Winter are on the eventing team.
