What's coming up on Friday's SWATCH FIVB World Tour Paris stop

(BEIJING, June 20) -- Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh of the Untied States, who have competed in three SWATCH FIVE World Tour Paris stops and claimed two Henkel Grand Chelem championships, will meet 18th-seeded Schwaiger sisters (Doris and Stefanie) of Austria this Friday, after the Schwaigers eliminated two-time European champions Vassiliki Arvaniti and Vasso Karadassiou of Greece 13-21, 21-19 and 15-12 in 61 minutes Thursday afternoon.

This will be the first time that the Austrian pair plays the first-seeded Americans, who have dropped none of their last 51 matches on the international circuit, with the latest victory being a gold medal captured at the Berlin stop of SWATCH FIVB World Tour last Saturday.

For the up-coming Friday competition, top-half of the women's Henkel Grand Chelem bracket includes seventh-seeded Jen Boss/April Ross of the United States playing 12th-seeded Tamsin Barnett/Natalie Cook of Australia, eighth-seeded Talita Antunes and Renata Ribeiro playing fellow 14th-seeded Salgado sisters (Carolina and Maria Clara), plus fourth-seeded Nicole Branagh and Elaine Youngs of the United States facing 23rd-seeded Cristine "Saka" Santanna/Andrezza "Rtvelo" Martins of Georgia.
