Nadal overcomes injury to set up Murray clash

However the Spaniard didn't lose his edge. He took a 3-1 lead in the forth game, then 4-2 in the fifth. Although Nadal lost a set point twice and failed to break Youzhny's serve in the eighth game, he still wrapped up the first set, 6-3.

The 22-year-old also won the second set 6-3, and in the opening game of the third set Youzhny squandered a golden chance to break Nadal's serve, missing three break points to allow Nadal to hold his serve game and easily take the set, 6-1 to wrap up the match.

The four-time French Open winner is now through to his third successive Wimbledon quarterfinal, where he is scheduled to face Britain's Andy Murray.

The 21-year-old Scotsman, who came from two sets down to defeat Richard Gasquet, of France on Monday, 5-7 3-6 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 6-4, has boldly predicted he can win the men's Wimbledon title.

"I felt like that since the start of the tournament," Murray told BBC Sport. "I'm going to have to try and recover really well, get enough food, enough sleep, and try and prepare the best that I can. Obviously he's [Nadal] the favorite for the match but I do think I can win."

Nadal will meet Murray in the men's Wimbledon quarterfinals on Wednesday, July 2.
