(BEIJING, July 3) -- The British Olympic Diving Team has been confirmed by the British Olympic Association, according to the Official Team GB Website for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Ten divers will participate in all four events at the Summer Olympics.

"Together the athletes look like a very strong and capable team. It's a young team that is very much focused on the future, as 80 percent of the team have never been to an Olympics before but long term Beijing will be a huge benefit for these athletes," said Steve Foley, the Diving Team Leader for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

"As a team we'll be looking to securing three individual finalists and the rest of the squad will be targeting semifinal sports as they gain valuable experience," he said.

Tom Daley, the 10m platform European champion, said: "To know that you're going to an Olympics after all the hard work and speculation is unbelievable. I'm totally overwhelmed.

"I'm not looking at medals. My list of dives isn't difficult enough at this stage to give me the scores I need to win a medal. That will come as I get older and that's where I want to be when London comes along in 2012," said Daley.
