Two FEI World Cup qualifiers conclude in Eastern Europe

(BEIJING, July 3) -- FEI World Cup Eventing qualifiers have successfully concluded in Minsk, Belarus and Strzegom, Poland.

The FEI World Cup qualifier in Minsk was held June 19-22, with 26-year-old Aliaksandra Hlushakova and her horse Logika taking first place with 82.8. Ilya Anisin, riding Rascasse, finished second with 85.7, and Yahor Ramanouski came in third with 123.9.

Forty-eight-year-old Elmar Lesch of Germany caught up from 13th place after dressage to win the qualifier in Strzegom, which took place June 26-June 29. Dirk Schrade, also from Germany, had the lead after dressage and cross-country but dropped to second with 16 jumping penalties and five penalties for time.

Riding her experienced horse Robin des Bois, Sara Algotsson from Sweden came in third. 2000 Sydney Olympic rider Marina Kohncke ended fourth on Calma Schely.
