Brief Introduction:Xuanwumen Catholic Church, also known as the South Church, is currently the Diocesan Cathedral. It is the oldest Catholic Church in Beijing. It was originally the site of a small scripture hall built by P. Matteo Ricci in 1605 (the 33 rd Year of the reign of Emperor Wanli, Ming Dynasty), and was later rebuilt by German Jesuit priest J.A.
