83. Work For Nothing 白干了

W: I'm so annoyed. I've prepared so long for the exam, but it was canceled.
我好生气。为了这次考试，我已经准备了很长时间，但是考试居然取消了。

M: Then you work for nothing?
那么你就是白干了？

W: You made a point.
你说对了。

M: I had thought there would be a lot of people yesterday and I had prepared a lot of food for them.
我以为昨天会有很多人来，所以我为他们准备了很多食物。

W: Then what?
然后呢？

M: Very few people came. So I worked for nothing.
很少人来。所以我白干了。
