词汇注释：
1. be supposed to 应该, 被期望。例句：
He was supposed to give us advice, but all he came up with were airy-fairy ideas.  
他应该给我们提些劝告，但他所想出来的一切是不切实际的。

2. in a sec 立刻，马上。例句：
Excuse me. bill. Back in a second.  
对不起。比尔。一会儿就回来。

3. get tied up with 被……缠住。例句：
These days I get tied up with my design.这些天我忙于设计。

4. huge traffic jam  严重的交通堵塞

5. pileup  n.  多车相撞

6. back up  v. (因积聚而)拥堵, 堵塞。例句：
Soon, like a traffic jam, that pressure would be backed up all the way to Washington.   
 这就好比发生了交通堵塞，要不了多久那车辆的长龙就会一直排到华盛顿。  

7. run late  迟到，比预期的发生得晚。例句：
The concert may run late.音乐会可以延续到很晚。

8. acceptable a. 可接受的；合意的

9. wait v. 等待。例句：
I'm waiting for James to arrive.
我正等着詹姆斯的到来。
