well

all well and good

用：通常只说well and good。多用于if条件句中。表示在某种前提下，某项建议或决定可以接受。也可与but句子连用，表示先接受某项要求，然后提出要满足此要求的前提条件。
意：…(这)可以，但怎么…?(如果一)那可以
例，If you can pay for the lurch, well and good then, I'11 repay you after.
如果你能付午饭钱，那行，我回头还给你。
Wanting to buy a new car is all well and good, but how are we going to pay for it.
想买一辆新汽车可以，但是我们怎么支付买车的钱呢?

用：用作反语，回答他人的建议等。是表示不满、责备、不赞成或嫉妒的句式。
意：…倒是(的确)不错(很好)，但…;…好倒是好，可…
例，It's all very well fvr you to suggest a new office in the city, but how can we afford the rent?
你在市里开个新办公室这提议倒不错，但是我们怎能付得起房租呢?
It's all very well for you to apologire, but what about same compensation for the damage you have caused?
你道歉这很好，可是你造成的损害是不是应该有些赔偿啊?

用：正式用法。用来表示同意(有时是不情愿地赞同)。相当于fine,
right这些词儿。
意：好;行;那样的话行吧
例 A: Have you finished?
你做完了吗?
B: Yes.
做完了。
A: Very well, you may go now.
好，现在你可以走了
A: Mrs. jones wants to see yau.
琼斯夫人想见您。
B: Very well. 1'1l be along in a moment.
好吧，我一会儿就来。
A:...but we need a secretary for the files.
