意:(指事情)迟做总比不做好;迟到总比不到好
例.By the time the trolley gets here the tea will have gone cold, but better late than never, I suppose.

A: Oh, i' m sorry I' m late.

例,If he pays you five hundred pounds for that wreck of a car, you're laughing.
