a bit of a ,+名词或短语

用:用来修饰说话人不喜欢的人或不赞成的事。常跟的名词为coward, ass,fool, idiot, nuisance, weakling等。
意…挺…的;有点…;相当…
例. I don't know why you like him. I think he's a bit of a fool.
我不知道你为什么喜欢他,我看他挺蠢的.
John is a bit of a dangerous blunderer.
约翰是一个很危险且常坏事的人。

every bit as+形容词+as

例. Although she was a girl, she was every bit as strong as her brother.
她虽说是个姑娘家,可长得跟她兄弟一样壮。

用:指人的举止无礼,让人无法接受,也指别人对某事的处理不当。用作表示抱怨、不满的句式。另见much (P.2'16) , steep tP.384) o

例, really thought it was a bit off the way she behaved
真的.我觉着她的举止有点儿不像话。
I think it's a bit off expecting us to work late every night this week.
