A: I have never you mention this friend. Are you on very good terms with him or her

B: We have been on good terms. She is a very nice girl. But she got in Dutch with her boss. I don’t have the heart to see her pounding the pavements.

A: You must be stuck on her, or you would not use your elbow grease.

1. 核心地道表达

【核心短语】be stuck on someone

【解词释义】stuck是stick的过去分词,意思是“粘在一起”。Be stuck on someone和be in love with someone的意思是一样的,均指“迷恋上某人”。
