说服对方透露信息给你

众所周知,机密信息是不会轻易外泄的。但若是情况要求,你必须得掌握一些机密信息的话,该如何说服对方将信息透露给你呢?我们看看下面这封信是怎么写的吧!

Dear Mr. Haynes

The booth you sponsored at the plastics manufacturing trade show in Los Angeles last summer left a deep impression on me. While I was on business in California at the time, I took the opportunity of attending the trade show and viewing the various exhibits, including your fine one on industrial application of plastics.

This coming February a similar show will be held in Michigan, and our firm is participating in it. As one of the leading plastics manufacturers in China, we feel it highly necessary to develop and exchange our manufacturing techniques and products with more manufacturers and dealers from different directions. Of course, we have been looking forward to more cooperation with you, one of the largest plastic enterprises in the world. Therefore, your experience with the show in Los Angles and your comments would greatly aid our preparation for the Michigan session. Specially, I would be interested in the following information:

1. Approximately how much time did your people spend in setting up and manning the booth during the show?
2. What department concerned did you contact for the local news report on the booth you sponsored?
3. What was the cost per square foot for your exhibit space?
4. What direct benefits can your business attribute to participating in the show? Did you gain any new ideas, relations, and contracts?
5. Did the volume of business and prospects generated at the show make you feel that your expenditure of time and effort was worthwhile?
6. Which booth location generated the most traffic: end of aisle, middle of aisle, or near exit…?

As our planning committee will be making initial arrangements during the last week of December, a reply by December 23 would be most desirable. If it is inconvenient to write a response, perhaps you could call me. I assure you what you supply will be of high confidentiality in my files.

在这封信里,写信者先是赞扬对方展出的产品,然后说明自己所要求的信息对双方将来的合作都有好处,接着摆出自己想知道的问题,最后强调会保证信息的机密性、并礼貌的要求尽快回复。这样的写法会更有可能达到写信者的目的。
