Have a bone to pick从字面意思是“挑骨头”的意思,引申为“有理由来抱怨或争论”。这个习语源于16世纪是从狗啃骨头这一行为引申而来的。狗对于骨头有极大的爱好,总是啃不完,爱不释手,于是,have a bone to pick就被用来指代“需要常时间讨论的事情”了。
