这两天微博和朋友圈都在疯传几张图表,上面列出了1980年以后出生的人在不同的年龄阶段应有的存款数量,以及应该经历的人生阶段,比如,恋爱,结婚,怀孕等。但事实上,随着社会的发展,传统意义上某个年龄段应该做的事情,可能现代社会的年轻人都没有在做。有些是因为经济原因,有些则是个人选择了不同的生活方式。
Generation pause refers to young adults who are not able to do thingspreviously typical for their age group such as buy a home, start a family andhave kids because they are short of money.
“暂停的一代”指到了一定年纪,却因为没有钱而无法像前辈人那样买房、结婚生子的年轻人群体。

Of those aged 25 to 34 years old…
-One in five are postponing their marriage plans for more than twoyears
-One in 10 say they could never afford to marry

Of those aged 35 to 44 years old..
-One in seven had or would put off starting a family for at least fouryears
-One in four delayed starting a family for two years because of lack ofsavings

-四分之一曾经因为存的钱不够而推迟两年结婚

A new study released last week revealed a quarter of Brits believe they’llnever own a property, leading them to be dubbed ‘generation pause’ – an entiregeneration trapped in a kidult lifestyle not being able to afford to do the‘grown-up’ stuff, like buying property, getting married and having kids.
