托福词汇之“电动脚踏车pedelec”

　　在大城市里，堵车犹如家常便饭。不想被堵在路上，又不愿在地铁里人挤人?“电动脚踏车”是个既方便又环保的出行方式。

　　edelec refers to a bicycle equipped with an electric motor that assists therider's pedaling.

　　“电动脚踏车”指装有助力骑车人蹬车的电机的自行车。

　　该词是由pedal(脚踏车)和electric(电动的)组合而成的。

　　除了pedelec，其他常见装有小型电机的轻便式交通工具还有scooter(小轮摩托车)和electric bike(电动自行车)。
