　　[近义辨析] Similar/like/alike

　　(1)similar 指有明显的共同性质但不完全一致或同一。可以作定语也可以作表语如：A similar mistake occurs at the end of the paragraph. 这一段的末尾有一个性质类似的错误。

　　My opinions are similar to his.我的看法与他的很相似

　　(2) like作形容词或介词，指事物在外貌性质或特征上非常相似以致区别不开，但并非同一。在句中可以作定语也可以作表语。表示“同…一样”时常用作介词。如：

　　Like thinking produces like ideas.相似的思维产生相似的思想。

　　Like father ,like son.有其父必有其子。

　　The two buildings are very like.这两座楼很相似。

　　(3)alike作形容词或副词，作形容词时只可以作表语,意思同like

　　He and his brother are very much alike/like.他们兄弟俩太相似了。

　　A good teacher treats all his students alike.好的老师对待学生一视同仁。
