When a person first learns that he or she has cancer, the primary concern is survival. As treatment begins, however, new issues become important. Some of these include relationships with others, side effects from treatments, and nutrition and diet. Living with cancer and going through treatment is challenging, and it is best to be educated about issues surrounding survival in order to live a full and productive life.

American Cancer Society
This site provides information to patients on cancer treatment, early detection and prevention, as well as information on a variety of services available to cancer patients and their families.

CancerCare
CancerCare is a national non-profit organization that provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved.

National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute is the federal government's principal agency for cancer research and training. Its site contains valuable cancer-related health information and details about the exciting work being conducted by NCI-supported scientists throughout the country.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital
