A group of teachers posed the question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds: what is love?
老师问一群4到8岁的孩子们：爱是什么？

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." ...Rebecca - age 8.
8岁的Rebecca：“我奶奶关节炎犯了的时候，她都不能弯下去涂脚趾甲油。所以每次到这个时候爷爷就为她涂，甚至是在他手也犯关节炎的时候也不例外。这就是爱。”

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth." ...Billy - age 4
4岁的Billy：“当一个人爱你的时候，他们叫你名字的方式是不同的。你知道你的名字从他嘴里说出来感觉棒极了。”

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." ...Karl - age 5
5岁的Karl：“爱就是当一个女孩儿喷了香水，一个男孩儿撒了古龙水，然后他们出门，互相闻着彼此。”

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French Fries without making them give you any of theirs." ...Chrissy - age 6
6岁的Chrissy：“爱就是当你出去吃东西的时候，给了一个人一大部分你的法式薯条，却不要他们拿东西换。”

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." ...Terri - age 4
4岁的Terri：“爱就是当你累了的时候让你笑的东西。”

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." ...Danny - age 7
7岁的Danny：“爱就是当妈妈为爸爸煮了咖啡，递给他之前自己先喝一小口，看看是不是口味不错。”

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss." ...Emily - age 8
8岁的Emily：“爱就是你整天都在亲吻。然后就算你们厌倦了亲吻，但是仍旧想在一起，而且你们会聊很多。我妈妈和爸爸就是这样。他们亲吻的时候好恶心哦。”

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate." ...Nikka - age 6
6岁的Nikka：“如果你想学会更好地爱，你就要从那些你讨厌的小朋友开始。”

"There are two kinds of love. Our love and God's love. But God makes both kinds of them." ...Jenny - age 8
8岁的Jenny：“有两种爱。我们的爱和上帝的爱。但是两种爱都是上帝创造的。”

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." ...Noelle - age 7
7岁的Noelle：“爱就是当你告诉一个男孩儿你喜欢他的那件T恤，然后他就每天穿着它。”

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." ...Tommy - age 6
6岁的Tommy：“爱就是一个老奶奶和一个老爷爷在彼此特别了解之后还是好朋友。”
