　　Ugliness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, and that is something we have taken into account in our list of some of the planet’s most controversial architectural creations。

　　由于“审美”的标准不一，我们列出了全球最具争议的十大建筑。

　　1. Ryugyong Hotel, Pyongyang, North Korea 柳京饭店

　　Located in Pyongyang, the capital of DPRK, Ryugyong Hotel is 330 meters high. Construction of this hotel began in 1987. However, the project was suspended in 1992 due to financial problems and restarted in 2008. It is expected to be completed in 2013.

　　柳京饭店位于朝鲜首都平壤，高330米，1987年开始兴建，后因资金问题在1992年停工，2008年重启工程，预计2013年完工。

　　2. Atlantis Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates 阿联酋迪拜亚特兰蒂斯饭店

　　Opened with great fanfare, not to mention eye-wateringly wasteful expense, at the end of 2008, the hotel boasts some quality restaurants and an admittedly great water park。

　　2008年底，亚特兰蒂斯酒店在嘹亮的号角声中开业了，花费巨大。酒店标榜拥有高档餐厅和公认美丽的水上公园。

　　Fact: The display that launched the hotel used 100,000 fireworks, around seven times more than were set off at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics。

　　实情：酒店开业典礼燃放了十万束烟花，比北京奥运会开幕式所用烟花数目多了七倍。

　　3. Palace of the Parliament, Bucharest, Romania 罗马尼亚国会大厦

　　The building has over 1,100 rooms, is 12 stories tall and has several underground levels. Impressive undoubtedly, it’s just a shame that much of Bucharest’s historic center including 30,000 residences and 28 churches had to make way for the project。

　　大厦拥有超过1100个房间，12层高，地下还有几层。毋庸置疑，大厦给人留下深刻印象，但惭愧的是，布加勒斯特的历史中心区，包括三万间民宅和28座教堂在内，都不得不为此建筑“让路”。
