Maybe you let the New Year festivities run on too long, or maybe your New Year’s Eve was so big, you’re still feeling it on the second day of the new year.

Here’s how not to let it affect your fresh start at work:

1. Don’t call in sick

Unless you’re projectile vomiting every hour, the first day back at work is the worst day to call in sick. It will mark you out as a party-hard slacker, and nobody will believe your food poisoning excuse. So get out of bed and drag yourself into work.
