German goalkeeper Nadine Angerer also saved a penalty from world player of the year Marta, to preserve her side's remarkable record of not conceding a goal in the entire tournament. In the third-place game, two-time World Cup champions the United States beated Norway by 4-1. Abby Wambach scored two goals and Lori Chalupny and Heather O'Reilly added the others. |
