CRI听力:North Korea State media warns South Korean president against pro-US policies
North Korea's media has criticized South Korea's new president for the first time since his inauguration It added to tension on the peninsula.
An anchor woman on North Korea's state television aired an editorial by the Rodong Sinmun daily, criticizing Seoul's pro-Unite States policies.
"Lee Myung-bak should not misjudge the patience and silence so far kept by the DPRK. The Lee regime will be held fully accountable for the irrevocable catastrophic consequences to be entailed by the freezing of the inter-Korean relations and the disturbance of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula due to its sycophancy towards the US and its moves for confrontation with the North."
Recently a South Korean military commander said that Seoul could target suspected North Korean nuclear sites if there were signs of a pending attack from Pyongyang.
In response, a North Korean military commentator said North Korea could turn the South into "ashes" in a pre-emptive strike.(wwW.hxen.net)
North Korea test-fired missiles and expelled South Korean officials from a shared industrial zone in the past week.
