Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has been continuing his inspection tour of the quake-hit Sichuan province for the second day on Friday.
While visiting a makeshift school where survivors from the Beichuan Middle School are carrying on with their studies, Wen Jiabao encouraged the surviving students to look forward to the future.
"There is going to be a new Beichun middle school in the future. The new school will not only be a memorial to the quake victims but also a symbol for all the Chinese people. That is to say, as long as the kids are there and the education continues, there will be hope for the Chinese people. "(Www.hxen.net)
The Beichuan Middle School was among the worst-affected schools in the earthquake, which claimed the lives of over one third of those in the school.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Sichuan for the second time on Thursday afternoon to oversee disaster relief work in the region.
His previous trip to the quake-stricken region began on May 12, just hours after the major earthquake jolted Sichuan at 2:28 p.m.
