Two North Koreans have died after their fishing boat collided with a South Korean cargo ship in North Korean waters.

Pyongyang notified Seoul of the deaths of two crew members aboard the fishing boat.
Kim Ho-nyeon is a spokesman at South Korea's Unification Ministry.
"One fishing boat sank following the collision between a sand excavator and North Korea's fishing boat and two of the North Korean crew members died. Related to this accident is the Chosun Jinyong Trading Company which is a North Korean sand operating company in Acheon. The investigation will continue into Chosun Jinyong Trading Company."
North Korea said it would send a detailed report on the incident to the South as soon as it has conducted an inquiry. The North is reportedly obliged to provide information on such accidents under an inter-Korean accord.
The South Korean ship carrying seven people sailed to a nearby North Korean port for questioning shortly after the accident.
The collision came amid continuing tensions between the two sides over the shooting death last month of a South Korean tourist vacationing at a holiday resort in North Korea.
