Unidentified gunmen shot dead a political leader in southwestern Pakistan on Monday, triggering violent protests.
Hussain Ali Yousafi, Chairman of Hazara Democratic Party, was reportedly shot dead in Quetta city.
The assailants fled after the killing.
Several hundred people enraged by the slaying of the Shiite political party leader, torched vehicles and a bank after the killing.(www.hxen.net)
Zakir Hussain is one of the protestors.
"We are protesting today against the culprits, against the terrorists who killed head of our party."
Security forces clashed with protesters through the afternoon, trading tear gas shells with stone throwing demonstrators.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
