CRI听力:Ahmadinejad Blames West for Economic Crisis
Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has blamed world powers for creating "unfair and irresponsible" economic order which has led to the unfolding global financial crisis.
Delivering a speech at the one-day summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Tehran, Ahmadinejad said "the capitalist economy is on the verge of collapse".(www.hXen.coM)
He noted that all countries in the world have to pay the price for the inefficient policies of certain nations.
"The recent changes show that economic liberalism and the free market have failed, when the international capitalist organizations issue orders for the injection of hundreds of thousands of dollars from the government treasury in to the market in order to rescue big companies and banks. In fact they are announcing out loud the failure of the capitalism."
The Iranian president also called for solidarity among regional countries and the development of trade between ECO member states to overcome threats posed by the financial crisis and transform them into opportunities.
The ECO, founded by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey, is an intergovernmental organization involving seven other regional nations including Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
