Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says the Middle East peace talks, will resume, in the next few weeks.
Netanyahu made the remarks, after meeting with Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak.
"I came to Egypt to push relations between Israel and the Arab states. I came to endorse relations between the Israelis and the whole Muslim states. We want the Israelis and the Palestinians to live in peace and stability."
Mubarak echoed Netanyahu, saying it's important to resume peace talks.(www.hxen.net)
"The prime minister assured me of his government's commitment to peace and I assured him that Egypt is looking for positive steps that reflect this commitment to achieve peace on the Palestinian track, based on the two-state solution and to pave the way for the other tracks based on the Arab initiative."
It was Netanyahu's first foreign visit, since taking office in March.
The peace talks have been halted, since the end of last year, when the Gaza war broke out.
