CRI听力: Netanyahu Calls on Palestinians to Resume Peace Talks without Preconditions
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on the Palestinians to resume Middle East peace talks without preconditions.
He made the call during a major policy speech about his Mideast peacemaking intentions on Sunday evening.
The Prime minister said he was prepared to meet with the leaders of neighboring Arab countries at any time to promote regional peace and to gain their contribution to the Palestinian economy. (www.hXen.com)
"I call on you - our Palestinian neighbors and the leaders of the Palestinian authority - let's start negotiation for peace immediately, with no pre-conditions. Israel is obligated to international agreement and expects all the other parties to fulfill their obligations as well."
Netanyahu also presented three conditions for the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
The three conditions are the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, demilitarization of future Palestinian state and the support of the international community.
