CRI听力:China's Antitrust Probes Spread
A Chinese anti-monopoly regulator has conducted new raids on Microsoft and Accenture in China.
The State Administration for Industry and Commerce says on its website that they have investigated four Microsoft offices in China and Dalian offices of Accenture.
Microsoft reportedly outsources financial work to Accenture.
The National Development and Reform Commission also carries out anti-monopoly investigations on the automobile industry.
That has so far involved 12 Japanese companies and luxury car brands including Audi, Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz.
Li Pumin, the spokesman of the commission, has confirmed Audi and Chrysler's monopoly violations.
"The Shanghai Development and Reform Commission is wrapping up their investigations against Chrysler. So is the Hubei authority. We have confirmed their monopoly violations. The penalties will be issued soon. Mercedes-Benz is still under investigation regarding the issue."
The commission has also said they have completed probes in 12 Japanese auto parts and bearings manufacturers.
These manufacturers will also face fines, though the exact amount is not stated.
For more on this, Ding Lulu earlier spoke with Cao Can, CRI's financial commentator.
