Arsenal prepared for the fast-approaching Premier League season by collecting the Community Shield with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
"I felt we had a complete performance in the first half as long as we had the legs to sustain what we wanted to do and in the second half our togetherness and the third goal got us through. We defended well, we lost a bit more the ball than in the first half, our movements were less fluent, but we kept the spirit and the organisation, but the first half I felt was very exciting."
A makeshift City was a shadow of the team that won the Premier League for the second time in three years in May, but appeared more effective in the second half.
